Cookie Policy

Hunt My Vinyl keeps browser storage to a minimum. This page explains what is stored, why, and how you stay in control.

Google accounts, profiles, marketplace preferences, threshold settings and manually entered wantlists and Discogs Wantlist CSV import are live. Albums and prices shown on public and demo pages are illustrative demo data. Amazon prices and matching, generic CSV import, Discogs synchronisation, payments, automated checks, email alerts and analytics are not live yet. Authenticated users can save exact direct Amazon product links; only a link with a verified local tag is an affiliate link. Hunt My Vinyl is registered with the local Amazon Associates programmes for its ten supported marketplaces, and each outbound Amazon URL uses only that marketplace's local tag. Price synchronisation and alerts remain planned and require appropriate provider access and Amazon's written permission.

Strictly necessary cookies and local storage

These are needed to make the service work and cannot be switched off. Supabase session cookies keep Google-authenticated users signed in and let the server validate protected requests. Public demo preferences and the optional-cookie choice are stored locally in your browser.

Authentication and security storage

Authentication is live. Supabase-managed cookies store the session and sign-in verifier needed for Google OAuth, session refresh, protected routes and logout. These cookies are sent to Hunt My Vinyl and Supabase as required to provide and secure your account.

Preference storage

Signed-in marketplace choices and discount thresholds are saved to your Supabase-backed account. Separate public demo preferences and your cookie consent preference are stored in local storage so the demo remembers them on that browser.

Optional analytics

Hunt My Vinyl does not currently use analytics cookies or third-party trackers. No analytics provider is connected. If we introduce analytics later, it will be disabled by default and will only load after you give consent, where consent is legally required.
