How Hunt My Vinyl expects to make money, and why that never changes which records we call a Deal or a Steal.

Google accounts, profiles, marketplace preferences, threshold settings and manually entered wantlists and Discogs Wantlist CSV import are live. Albums and prices shown on public and demo pages are illustrative demo data. Amazon prices and matching, generic CSV import, Discogs synchronisation, payments, automated checks, email alerts and analytics are not live yet. Authenticated users can save exact direct Amazon product links; only a link with a verified local tag is an affiliate link. Hunt My Vinyl is registered with the local Amazon Associates programmes for its ten supported marketplaces, and each outbound Amazon URL uses only that marketplace's local tag. Price synchronisation and alerts remain planned and require appropriate provider access and Amazon's written permission.

Current programme status
Hunt My Vinyl is registered with the local Amazon Associates programmes for its supported Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Spain, United Kingdom and United States stores. Authenticated users can save direct Amazon product links. A link is an affiliate link only when its verified local marketplace tag is applied. Amazon pricing is not active.
How affiliate links work
Hunt My Vinyl may earn a commission from qualifying purchases made through a tagged link at no additional cost to you. The dashboard distinguishes an Amazon affiliate link from an ordinary untagged direct Amazon link before you click it.
Direct marketplace links; OneLink is off
Exact product and Amazon search links use the selected marketplace's direct local URL and tag. The affiliate identifier is added only to the outbound URL; it is not stored in canonical product identity or in a user's Custom URL. Hunt My Vinyl does not use OneLink to create these destinations.
Observed marketplace prices
Hunt My Vinyl can show a recently observed Amazon marketplace price supplied by Keepa. The observation time is displayed and older observations are visually marked. Prices can change after collection, so the linked Amazon product page remains authoritative. Price alerts and historical charts are not active yet.
Commissions do not influence our labels
Public Deal and Steal labels currently use illustrative demo prices. If live offers and affiliate relationships are introduced, commissions will not affect matching, rankings or the calculation against your personal discount threshold.
Always check the retailer
Current demo prices are not purchase quotes. When opening a saved retailer link, verify the product, edition, price, delivery cost, taxes and stock on the retailer's own website.
